Opening a secure page with Fopen()

Hi,

For various reasons its important that I open an HTTPS url via another HTTPS location. The purpose is to suck data from one secure connection and output it in a format which is related to a design.

HAs anyone managed to get fopen working on a https page, http is fine but not luck otherwise.

I don't think that it is possible. I looked into it, but the handshake requirements for HTTPS are rather involved. I found that it was easier to find another solution and I did with cURL. PHP 4.01 and greater has functions for using cURL, and cURL handles SSL connections just fine. Look into it if you can.
