make apache accept index.php as homepage

Hi,

I am having difficulties making Apache accept the file index.php as the homepage/indexpage.

Does anyone know how I tell Apache that a file with that name should be treated as the indexpage??

Just open the apache configuration file (httpd.conf) and find a line like :

DirectoryIndex index.html

Change it to :

DirectoryIndex index.php index.html

save the file , and restart ( or rehash ) your apache server.. you are ready!

apachectl restart
