e-mail control panel

I am currently developing an admin area for clients of an ISP to change e-mail and web forwarding. The information is stored in a database and the technical staff can check if any changes are required. How practical would it be to use PHP to automate this? Has anyone done a similar project? We use Sendmail and Apache.

I worked on a simular project. I was never able to finish it though. I did not use a accuall SQL database I used a text file.

My only hitch in doing an accual SQL database is making the virtusertable.db file with a SQL query and have it work?

I would also be interesed in this. I would love to help...you...
