PHP,CF,ASP ?HelpMe?

Hello ,
I am a newly graduted Web Developer student , studying my practicum at a software company in Canada.
Amoung several tasks I have been asked to perform , one (the first one) is to allow an inventory database built with MSaccess ,to be accessible via the web.
I have created a DSN for this , put it on an Apache http server , and created an HTML page, to access this application , but it acts all funny when I request it locally even.
What steps are recommened to have this application as useable on the beach as it is in the office?
I do have some Cold Fusion experience , and have a knack for learning things fast , but I would love to impress this potential employer.

Any help , any form is very much appreciated.

why u don't use iis?....if u use access as database i think iis will better for use🙂

You should be using IIS with MS Access if you plan to use ASP as your server side scripting language. If you run Apache, ASP will not work!

The other alternative is to convert the db to another platform like postgresql or interbase and access that via php on either apache or IIS. As you can see the second alternative is much versatile and works on various environment.

The question you have to be asking yourself is where is the end product going to be deployed? on a server sitting onsite? at a webhosting facility? on a dedicated server co-located? Because these questions put contraints on your development environment.
