HELP PROB WITH EMAIL ON APACHE SERVER

I'm using an apache server that works fine with php, so this probably isn't a PHP problem. When I use the mail function, it says "could not connect to path\to\filename.php" on port X. I tested this on an xoasis account and it sent the email just fine. I've checked my configs and I THINK they're all right, but I'm new to apache and PHP. If someone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!

  Well your useing the fsock function its probly something simple so just goto the filename and see the link locations are okay and look at you php.ini to make sure you have you mail ; uncheck for the unix section

 I'm using windows, will that affect anything?  I looked at the [mail function] area of my php.ini file, but the only things there were the smtp and send-from fields.  I'm not sure what you meant about fsock because I can't find anything in the php.ini or httpd.conf files.  It might help if you could tell me certain parts of the files to look in.  I don't know what you mean by links in the filename, I just hardcoded the mail(to, subject, message, from); line into the file to test.  This works on xoasis, but not my server.  Have you ever heard of some kind of problem arising with an ISP?  It might have something to do with mine, but that's just a guess.  Thanks for your help!!  I hope it doesn't take too much of your time!
