Earlier I asked about this error:

Warning: open(/tmp/sessions/sess_bc3a85b37229bfbd1254f527e11ea568, O_RDWR) failed: m (2) in /www/ub.surfsolutions.com/session_test.php on line 2

And someone said I had corrupt session files.

I then asked my administrator if he could fix it, and he wants me to find out if t has anything to do with the database, or reparing it.

So, does it?

No. Sessions have nothing to do with databases. They are flat files that PHP's session handler generates to hold any session data that you register.

Just another possibility that there is a permissions problem? I had this happen once before and found the directory that PHP was attempting to open the session file (in read/write status) was unable to do so due to improper Unix permissions being set.
