Does anyone know of a service that simplifies the process of collecting fund from user's credit cards on a monthly basis for subscription-based sites?

nope but the best place to enquire would be to send emails to the porn gurus have developed an entire industry from subscriptions and reprocessing

I've seen some sites use paypal for something like what you are describing.
