hidden displays string

Hi!

Anybody knows why
<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"message\" value=\"$message\">
displays $message instead keeping it hidden as it suppose to?

$message is actually html file. I guess the problem has something to do with it.
Here it is:

<head>
<title>Novosti iz Kulinarskog studija</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1250">
</head>
<body ...

Hi Dado,

Wouldn't it be better to use <input type="file"> if you're transporting an HTML file. Try adding style="display:none" or disabled="true" to the tag as well.

It is either the greater than sign or the quotes that is killing you.

Is coming out on your page in the browser...

<input type="hidden" name="message" value="<head>
<title>Novosti iz Kulinarskog studija</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1250">
</head>
<body ... ">

For sure as soon as it hits the first quote it will stop. When it does, it will show everything to the right of the quotation mark.

don't expect php to know everything, try either this one:

echo '<input type="hidden" name="message" value="'.$message.'">';

or this one:
