Want to Learn More

I am new to PHP and have gotten the basics down. i am looking to learn some more advanced things but i am not sure where to look or to go to do this. Does any one have any ideas of where i can get some good tutorials or maybe a good book that teaches some more of the advanced features of php?

if you can help me that would be great.. if not no problem.

Hi,

I bought the PHP4 Bible which I thought was pretty good. Usually I go for the O'Reilly books but the review on Amazon.com said that the IDG one was better.

I've got no complaints about the book in general. I suggest reading a book such as this and supplementing your reading by brushing up on the manual.

I've found the tutorials here and on devshed.com to be far better than my books.

The best way of course is to actually build something that you know is beyond your current level of expertise. That way you have to learn as you go along. I think what helped me was using some of the tutorials on devshed.com, I followed them through and then tried to make them better.
