Common Sessions in Asp and Php

Hello to All,
I need to work on some applications where some parts in Asp and that applications run on win2000 server and some other applications are in php/linux. Now i am using the same database for both and i want to use common sessions.My login is through php and i want to use same login in asp also.
Can anyone help me.

If you are using the same database for both, I suggest creating your our unique session id and using a table to track your users. You can create your own 16 byte md5 hash or just use the one created when you do session_start() and use the session_id() value in the database. It will be set as a cookie (by default) with the user so you can track them over to the win2000 box as well (assuming they are on the same domain and the cookie is visible by both). Hope that helps.
