Apache/PHP/Mysql on MS-2000 OS

Help. I'm considering buying a new laptop so I can do php/mysql development on the go. I've got a simple question before I plunk down my $2500.00 for a new notebook.

Does Apache/PHP/MySql run on the Windows 2000 OS? Any problems? I'll want to load these on the notebook but want to make sure they're compatible with the MS-2000 OS. All comments are appreciated. Thank you.

This version is for Win32 platform. Works well for me on Win2K OS.

Somethings to watch out:

Path ("\" vs "/")
Location of directories ("/tmp" vs "c:\temp")
Performance!

Don't why, but same hardware, MySQL queries are much faster on Linux system vs. Win2K.

That's how I've learned all three of them: running as services (Apache + MYSQL) on my Win2000 PC. No problems at all, rock solid.

Apache doesnt seem to be particularly stable under Windows 2000. I can crash it on demand by clicking the refresh button very quickly

MySQL is very stable, just make sure you shut it down properly. I have had a few problems with corrupt databases by not closing down properly.

PHP works fantastically, as usual, apart from my problem below with some kind of file accessing/locking problems when using include_files.
