Help! Linux Kernel panic!!

hi,

i have installed Red hat 6.2 with PHP and MySQL working perfectly.

Recently, my system crashed and i had to reset the machine. now whenever i boot i get the following message

Kernel panic: no init found.

what is to be done?
it is very important to solve this since i have to prepare a presentation for this system within 3 days or i'll flunk the exam.

so can anyone please please please help me out.

Boot use your kernel bootdisk (you did make a boot disk during install!)

Or

Boot use the RH6.2 boot.img disk, but supply the following parameter:
linux single

Then, use fsck to check / repair your filesystem.
