I have a project that requires the usage of threads, and was wondering if anyone could direct me to sites that explain how to create threads in php.

There are no such sites, because PHP doesn't do threads. What does your project involve, and how certain are you that threads are the Only Way? (Just as a point of reference, the world's most popular webserver does not use them.)
