"multipart/form-data" Server Problem ?!

I've seen this Problem stated quite a few times, but didn't really find the correct answere, perhaps I've overseen it. (hope not so don't flame me if I did 😉

I post a form containing various fields and a file. first thing is that the form fields contain a newline infornt. ok nice trim it. but thats a workaround and does not slove the main problem. cause there is more to come. the mime type is not insertet. anways the main problem is that the data beeing uploaded in the file is corrupted. also the filename contains '' instead of 'none' if nothing is selected.

please note that the same source works on another server.

so if you have any hints on what is goin wrong here, please help =)

my guess is that somehow its not doing a binary transfer but a text one. would explain the newlines.. ??

What's the dodgy server running? What's the good server running? Definetly sounds like a server setup problem to me, especially if the code works fine on other servers.

Regarding your guess: it's possible. Have you tried sending a text file, if it works ok then your right. If not, it's something else 🙂

ok here we go ...

a) not workin

as you can see setup is almost identical version wise ... same apache and php versions .. so it must be something in the configs .. perhaps a mime setting ?.. but haven't found anything ...

so now for some more test I did:
by looking at the file with a hex ed i found out something intersting ...
somehow the missing mime typ wich should be int he php file_typ variable was added infront of the file so for example :
Content-Type: text/plain
Content-Type: image/pjpeg
is now at the beginning of the file ...

any ideas `
