Bored?, Looking for something to do?

Hello,

I am the lead (read: only) developer for a php project called 'SiG'. I desperatly need/want people to help with this project. The projects page is http://sig.sourceforge.net and a current (somewhat)stable release is being used at http://www.gamesig.com. After checking that out, BUT before you say.. 'ooh look its another 'phpslash / php-nuke.. you know the list' website, let me assure you its not. The entire goal of this project was to be something new... something better, something that answered all the problems that arose with other php based solutions. Also the project is more than just a news portal engine... it is designed from the ground up with a new framework of php classes... similar to phplib but geared towards content manangement systems/ community sites (forums). I need developers from all aspects of the php community (db people, windows people, everybody). Right now I am workin so feverishly on the code I dont even have the time to publish full-documented-releases. Looks interesting... is there a way we can put a layer between the database and the code (so that people who want to run it with Oracle can do so and those who want to run it with say, Interbase can do so too)

My friend it is allready done... This is one of the reasons i need help developing this... I speed too much time planning for the future. Maybe this is something that you can help with... provide an oracle/interbase layer...? Or possibly intergrating it with PEARS db abstraction layer... Unfortunalty I found out about PEAR after i had half of my code written.. I would like to restructure this code so that it uses as much from the community as it will provide..
