PHP, sockets & UDP

I have to listen on a port if it comes some UDP packet and, when one packet arrives, I have to read it, then to update a database ecc... My I write it in PHP?
If someone thinks that I can, I can I do this? (I mean: how can I listen on a port for UDP eventually coming?)
