stripping e-mail

Is it possible to get a users e-mail address by stripping it out of their header information? I know it is unethical to spam, and it won't be used for that purpose. It is just going to be used for people who may be abusing the forum on my site, which like this one I want to be open to everyone.

What forum includes the persons email address in their header??

I am familure with most of the major forums, and I have never seen this action being done.

You can get user information such as what platform and browser they are using.

$HTTP_USER_AGENT

I was wondering if there was a way of viewing their preferences, such as their e-mail address... I know sites do it, as I have often received an e-mail after visiting a site, but I do not know how the do it.
