phpinfo disabled

As part of their current 'upgrade' of the virtual web servers the Web Host I use for my client sites has just disabled the phpinfo function on all servers.

I now get 'Warning: phpinfo() has been disabled for security reasons'

Is this normal?
Has anyone else had this happen to them?

this could be a normal process. the web guys just dont want all their information displayed. dont worry about it if you are able to do other php stuff.
you probably dont need phpinfo anytime, except to check what modules are available, etc and yes mainly if the PHP itself is woking.
