mail function

I'm having trouble using the mail function. I have apache running on a win98 machine. When I try using mail() i get this error:

Warning: Unknown error in c:\apache group\apache\htdocs\mail_test.php on line X

I had MS Personal Web Server before I installed apache and the mail function worked fine. Is there something else i need besides php and apache?

Have you got the send "mail(" error rectified? I am having the same problem. Pl. let me know if it is solved. Thanks,
