Did anybody else get an unsolicited email from Andrew H <owntree@hotmail.com> asking for PHP help or was it just me?
His email looked like this:
"Please See My Problem At:
http://chatterbox.netfirms.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Programming&action=display&num=996681140
Please help
Thank You
From IP Address: 213.121.70.249
From Browser: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt)"
I asked why he had emailed me and how he got my email address. His reply:
"Because You Are A Members On PHP Builder. So Therefore You Agreed To People
Email You"
I did?! @!#$ I thought that meant I agreed to help people on the forum and to ask for help on the forum.
Emails direct to me regarding an issue on the forum I've posted on is one thing (that's fine go ahead) but unsolicited emails that appear to be an attempt by someone to get users on his forum and to write him a complete content management system are well out of order.
Sorry about that, had to let off steam. :-)
So did anyone else get emailed or am I special?
