Hi everyone.
I'm working on a project just now which requires that I use PHP to resize images on the fly. So, I looked into it further, found GD, and spent a good few hours finding out how to install GD on Mac OS X.
When reading about GD, I saw that it no longer supports gifs. No problem I thought - I've no problem with using pngs instead.
But, now I read that PHP doesnt have functional support for pngs! Is this true? If it is, what can I do? GD doesnt support gifs, but pngs - php doesnt support pngs, but gifs. The only common format between the two seems to be jpeg, which isnt the right format for what I need to do.
I've tried to find an earlier version of GD so I can use gifs, but the most I've found is windows dll's and RedHat .rpm's - obviously no good to me as I'm on Mac OS X.
Can anybody help me out here?
