I am making up a site with reviews of free PHP - mySQL hosting providers on the net, because all the information I found on this subject was either outdated or grossly imprecise or missing.
I would like to share info and experiences on free hosting providers.
Thank you,
m.

you can see a pre-beta of the directory on http://free-php.cjb.net

    there is a f2s.com

supporting full cgi, php, mysql, postg..

That one is already listed on this guy's site.

f2s is probably the best, but does not accept new sign-ons now. there are a lot of services that seem to support php, but when you try to create an account you discover it does not work..... or very often the whole account creation process doesnt work. seems like dot-com failures and ads price dumping had a strong impact on most of these services.

F2S is accepting new applications for free sites.
          I got mine yesterday.

They have just re-activated it. It was down during the last week of July.

Like the saying goes... 'You get what you pay for' 🙂

well, for the "same price" you can have awful hosting with a lot of outages and always-annoying popups and popunders, or excellent hosting for the - fair, imho - price of an ad space on your page. that's exactly why i'm trying to build the free php hosting directory. :-)

                  4 days later

what's the exact url? for the cjb redirector don't work on my computer?

                    your site is useful!

I'm glad you like it! :-)
If anybody here has php resources they'd like to contribute to the resources index, well, you can add them online to the (now small) resources directory.....
