mysql simple problem

Im trying to use mysqlc_connect function in PhP to connect to a server running mysql somewhere else...I get this error:

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Host 'IP address' is not allowed to connect to this

Do i need to set this up somehow or make an allowance or change any setting to get this to work? thx

Yup, you need to change the database server to allow you to connect.
Check the MySQL manual about things like the GRANT statement and 'how mysql security works'

You'll have to have a record in the user table in the mysql database that allows either % or your IP to connect. Remember to flush the privileges after adding the record.
