Dates changing when submitted...

I use PHP for our group website and am having some issues with a section of it. I have a section of the site where our developers can enter a beeper report. They fill in the date but when submitting the report it is stored in the database as November 30, 1999. No matter what date they enter, this 11/30/1999 is always the date saved to the DB as the date the report was saved/entered.

Any ideas anyone on how I can fix this?

this can have many reasons!

is there a (hidden) input that overwrites the posted data when the form is submitted?

are you writing to the wrong field?

are you reading out the wrong field?

if you use mktime or date, is something wrong with the parameters?
