Getting NT usernames with Linux !!

I'm trying to setup an Intranet site that will only allow users to access the site if they are logged into the local domain.

I've tried using the $AUTH_USER and $REMOTE_USER variables, but with no joy :o(

Any Ideas How I can get my Linux box to acquire the username of the NT client viewing my page ??

There is appropriate module for Apache, can be found through www.apache.org.
