Problems with mcrypt function

Hi..
I am working on encryption of password.
I am running files which consists of mcrypt functions. It is showing exactly as like below

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mcrypt_create_iv() in f:\program files\apache group\apache\htdocs\encrypt1.php on line 14"

What need to do to solve the problem..

Probably mcrypt is not included in your installation of PHP. I'm not even sure it is available for NT, but regardless, you don't really need it for passwords: just hash them with md5() and store them that way.

Then take the incoming passwords, hash them, and compare them to the stored hashed version.
