Do a search at freshmeat.net on the words php and mail. You will find many complete packages as well as well as classes to help you roll your own pop3 client. I am using one found at www.mycgiserver.com/~active It's preety good, but very browser dependent. You can get by with an older version of IE, but you must have NS 6.0 for it to work. I'm modifying the code to fit my needs.
