how to turn off out buffering

Im writing a few simple tools for traceroute and ping.

the only problem is that it buffers the output until traceroute or ping is done.

As long as you have access to php.ini you can disable it by setting the output_buffering directive to "Off". If you don't have access, you may be able to disable it by placing

php_admin_value output_buffering Off

in an .htaccess file for the script directory. Otherwise, you're at the mercy of your ISP or host admin. HTH.
