Detecting and Redirecting Browsers

Hi,

I am currently working on a webpage, and I've realized that it works best in Internet Explorer. I am trying to find a code that will detect when a user is using Netscape and prompt them that it would be best if they used Internet Explorer itself. I know there are codes out there like that, but I need one that will only display the message in the Netscape browser and not when IE is opened up. I am new to web design. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

if (!strstr($HTTP_USER_AGENT, \'MSIE\')) is probably the simplest and fastest method. More examples at http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.get-browser.php

However, I would encourage you to make an effort to code your pages to work with IE, NS 4.x and maybe NS 6 and Opera.

I reckon you could cause a riot with a post like that! What all the people that use Linux and have no way to use IE?
Try your code out in all the browsers, or use different templates for diferent browser/platform scenarios.
