PHP - mail

My isp use a linux system. And when I use php to test the mail feature, I recieve the mail from the isp's server. Is there a way to make it so that it sends it not from my isp but from my domain? I am trying to setup a form with email, would rather it come from my domain then the server name. Hope that makes sense.

You can use the following php function to set the sender's address.That should do 🙂

mail("[e-mail]","TITLE",$message,"From:Anyhtng you want");

Are you're talking about the mail being sent from the default isp mail account? Something like "[e-mail]"? If so, unless your isp has the function disabled, you can change that value by placing:

   ini_set("sendmail_from", "[e-mail]");

above the mail() call. If not, I seem to recall a recent thread which discussed using sendmail options inside the mail() which I'm sure you could find if you ran a search on sendmail options. You could also look at Example 2 in the Mail() function docs at php.net (http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mail.php) since I think it may be what you're trying to do. HTH.

If you are still not able to solve ur problem, then use the mail function as follows.

mail("To Email","Subject","Message","From:Your Name <your Email Address>");

I hope this will solve the problem as it did mine when I was having the same problem with the linux server.
