PHP, more is needed right?

I need to learn PHP, but having problems getting started!

How can I pratice PHP on my HD? Or do I have to use a server? I tried in a folder,
then on my Angelfire account, but it doesn't work...do I need my own server or something more? Are there any free web hosting services out there that let you use PHP? Please tell me how to get started and practicing PHP!

Josh, what you need to do is download and install the apache server from apache.org and also the php software from php.net.
Once you set this up, you will be able to access your pages typing localhost on any browser.

use foxserv on your local machine. It installs and configs PHP, MySQL, and Apache. It rules.
