SAVE MODE

My provider has set SAVE MODE of ON and I have no chance to change this configuration. But I have to do file-uploads and I have also to create new directories on the server. So when I run scripts which try to do so I now got ugly error-messages like ‘permission denied’ and telling about an UID which is not correct. What can I do to pass an correct UID to allow the operation or how can I ship around the SAVE MODE restriction? I’am a newbie and I have no idea...

Just for reference, it's known as "safe mode," not "SAVE MODE." And no, there's no way to get around safe mode .. if there were, there'd be all sorts of PHP security concerns. The best thing you can do is ask your admin (nicely) to turn it off for your directory.
