auto respond problem

Hi:
Is it possible to use PHP to create a auto respond message to users? When uses send information through forms, they should get an assigned password automatically from MySQL database. (Assume I have setup a MySQL database to storage these password.)

yes it is possible. you would use the mail function to send them an email. function for randomizing in php would be mt_rand. you can use mt_rand to build alphanumeric passwords. then you could save usernames and passwords in a database.

Thanks for your suggestion. I think I didn't explain my question clearly. I have a list of the password (I don't want to assign the password randomly). When users send the form to register, I need to pick up a password from my list and send it to users automatically. Is it possible to do that? Thanks again for your help!

is there a reason you are using static passwords and generating them? this seems a very difficult way of doing things. anyway, here you go:
