I've been a frequent visitor to this site for over two years, as it has helped me learn many different methods.
I am the webmaster of a major record label and I brought PHP to the table when I got hired on. We are running two Solaris machines running PHP 4.0.5 and I'm having a real problem with the mail() funciton. It's REALLY slow and I have tried everything I know to fix it.
We are running sendmail 8.11.3. I set the sendmail_path to "etc/mail/sendmail -t -i", which is where sendmail is located in php.ini. However, I don't have a value for sendmail_from.
I have tried many things, I even changed Timeout.ident to 3s instead of 30s.
I would really appreciate some feedback/ help. I'm looking forward to sending some CD's to the person that helps me out.
