Hi,

I'm new to PHP and wonders if it really matters what platform I'm on when working with PHP. Are there differences in code between Win and Unix/Linux?? I've looked at some scripts at hotscripts.com, and it often says that this script will work on this or that (mostly Unix/Linux) platform...

php script isnt different for platforms.
There are few differenties but not in script. in variables. unix os has global variables in it. and we can use them in our scripts. if we use them it means that scritp won't work in windows platform. :-(

yeah and also some functions dont work under windows (eg checkdnsrr)
