Compile GD2 as a DSO module?

Hi,
I have apache-1.3.12 and php-4.0.6 set up as DSO, and I'm wondering what step I have to take to compile gd2 as DSO.

I'm doing this on Mandrake7.2 and I have all the necessary libraries installed.
