download binary data (blob) from MySQL

Hi there!

i hope, anyone can help me!?

im working on a project and i need to upload /download files in a MySQL DB using PHP. Sometimes the files have only to be modified.
Now, the upload isnt the problem, but how can i get the file back on a client pc? or even better, how can i MODIFY the file (for ex. a Word file)??

You can't modify the file, you'll have to download and re-upload the file.

I`ve read this article. it helped my very much, but how do i DOWNLOAD the files?

Exactly what the article describes, but with a different header, one that your browser doesn't recognize so it will offer a download box.

Search the forum for things like 'download' and 'header'.
