php and e fax

Hi all,

This is just a general feeling.

Has anyone heard or done something that deals with sending an E Fax on the fly with PHP?

I am currently exploring this and would greatly appreciate some feedback.

are you talking about the linux fax program by Ed Casas called efax?

i've got a system now working with efax, php, & mysql. works fine. with 256megs of ram a 850mhz athlon system can keep up with the 16 modems i've got.

the system takes php scripts eval() it to get html, sends it through html2ps then uses ghostscript to create a tiff g3 file. efax sends the files out. so now i can send faxes by using a bit of html & php.

Thanks for your response. This is a new area for me, so I can see I am going to have to do some research.

Just glad to hear that someone out there has done it successfully utilizing PHP and MySql
