naming conventions; variables and mySql

hi

may be a stupid question but what about naming conventions? is it ok to name everything, both in php and mySql, (variables (!constants), functions etc.) in the way of $oneWordAfterAnother ?

what about platform incompability? (my home computer vs. my server).

since I have done some java, I am used to write $oneWord..., so I truly hope it is ok to do the same in php... 🙂

Theoretically you can use whatever naming you like as long as it's legal in PHP and you can understand the names.

Win or Un*x doesn't matter because PHP is the same on both platforms.

Just remember about case sensitivity. Use only lowercase names in MySQL.
