Is there a way to limit the amount of info stored in access/error log files?

We don't use them with our current host as we have a cookie based alternative, but the logfiles just eat up our webspace (virtual hosting account).

I know about rotate logs. But can i specify a custom log format, for both error and access, i.e. 'Logformat %w none'

Would this just record a whitespace?
Will apache fall over, for whatever reason?

Any Ideas?

dev/null is like the trash on unix systems.

SO, if i do the following;

ErrorLog dev/null/error.log
CustomLog dev/null/access.log commonThen the logs will be deleted, what, every 24 hours?

couldn`t find info for dev/null
