File Upload -> o Bytes File

Hi, i wrote an file upload script, with a formular and the post command.
The skript runs, with one problem, all files wich would be uploaded are 0 bytes! Why?
I would like to upload jpeg and gif files!
Please help me!

First under which platform are u workin ???
win ou linux/unix

You must ensure that your form in html has a type properly seted.

than the second reason could be that the files that you are tryin to upload is freater than
MAX_FILE_SIZE

just grow this value under your form
<input hidden .... value="10000000".....>

the last reason could be the max size of file that can be uploaded, you'll find this value in conf/httpd.conf

the server runs at an unix machine.
the type was seted.
the max_files_size was checked by the skript.

i think ist the http.conf - but the server is a rent once. i haven't the access to write in this file.

could i configure the max_file_size in an httpd.conf or .htaccess in my skript folder?

httpd.conf

Today most versions of apache don't use
.htaccess they kept this file for compatibility only.

the form tag must have enctype="multipart/form-data"
e.g. <form name="form" method.. action... enctype="multipart/form-data">
<input type="file" name="file"> </form>
If you have a $file_size=s.th. different of 0 then it works.I don't think the problem is in file size (I probably tried out with smaller files)
