What should be in a PHP tutorial?

Hi, I need to build a online PHP tutorial as a project, but I haven't found a very "regular" (non-topic) tutorial on Web, instead there are many topic ones. Most PHP books include every little thing from variables and operators to database connection. Any suggestions on what should be included in a regular PHP tutorial? or any good tutorials/books to reference?

    I've tried hard, but I cannot see your point. Would your project be something like teaching a language without going about grammar and functions? Or teaching arithmetics without addressing any specific operator or what exactly you can do with them?
    PHP is a language with very specific functions. That is why tutorials are so "topical". If I missed your point, please clarify.
