credit card validator

dear all.
i'm looking to set up an online store and was wondering which company i should use to validate credit card details that people enter.
i was thinking about using CyberCash as the code documentation is on this site.

There are comopanies like barlcays-bank who offer online transaction processing.
You can simply send the amount and a reference to them through a POST, and they handle the secure transaction for you, and give you the result back through http and email.
