dumb prob: can't browse php

hi guys,

i can't browse a php page developed by my client.

i asked another friend to view the page and she can using a different isp.

on our isp, i can't view the page.

is there a server setting needed to recognize php pages?

    Telling us the URL of such page sure would help a lot. What do you mean with "can't view"? Do you get error messages, a blank page, "page not found" or NOA? And what do you mean with "using a different ISP"? You and your friend connect to the Web with different ISPs and visit the same page or are there two copies of the same PHP page stored in two different ISPs? Only that last option would make sense, since PHP is server-side. Are you passing variables through a link? You're not by any chance using some obscure and unreliable Web browser, are you?
    You see, some more information would be in order here. Don't look for the right answer, look for the right questions.

up to that point, everything is fine. but if you click the bsure advertisment below, it should pop-out a window showing more details of the ad.

my friend and i uses different ISPs viewing one page. She can view it and i can't. on my side, (i'm using IE6) it only shows the error 'The page cannot be found'.

Are there any needed server/client configurations to view the page? We are using NT4 (and IIS4) on the server side.

The page is developed by pinoymail.

    Nicole,
    That is quite a riddle. I viewed both pages with IE 5.01 without any problems. It doesn't add up. Where is PHP? In the advertisment page?
    Well, PHP is completely server-side, so if it works with one browser (or ISP), it definitely should work with another. It has nothing to do with your server setting. You could have run into a bug in IE6, although it is very unlikely. 
    I can only give you one last but hopeful suggestion: it might be a problem with your ISP. I currently use a relatively new ISP that sometimes has problems with DNS, so *.com domains become inaccessible until I call them and complain about it. Any other site works, except *.com. This could be your case. Try this little test: instead of trying to open 'http://advt.pinoymail.com/bsure/', try opening 'http://203.131.77.22/bsure/'. Paste it onto your browser's address bar and hit Enter. If you view the page, I'd say your ISP is to blame and you'd have to report the problem. If that doesn't work, I have no idea what it could be.

    By the way, what is "Susmaryosep"?

another thing. while i'm experimenting things with the site, i noticed that i can get into the advertisment using

http://advt.pinoymail.net/bsure/
and not the published

http://advt.pinoymail.com/bsure/

i don't know the reason behind this. you can view it but i can't. maybe it's really is with my ISP. (what could be the technical question that i should throw at my ISP on this matter? )

    Nicole,
    If you can view a *.net page but cannot view its *.com counterpart, you're certainly having a problem with DNS, like I do sometimes. Just describe the problem to your technical support, they should know what to do. If they don't, heck, get another provider.
    Finding the IP is easy: open up a DOS windows and type:
    C:\ping advt.pinoymail.com
    Be careful not to include the "http://" part, neither anything to the right of the domain name (pinoymail.com). Ping will show you the IP number, which you can use and complete with the rest of the URL (/bsure/).
