next problem.. caching

Hi,

I still have a next problem. I tryed to use cache-control directives. The form where once upload photos doesn't refresh.

First I used directives described in php.net
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.header.php

header ("Last-Modified: " . gmdate ("D, d M Y H:i:s") . " GMT");
header ("Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate");

After that, not even shift-reload works (with Netscape 4.78). I tryed a lot of other directives, but i becomes worse. Meanwhile Im absolutely mad, think its better to go on weekend.

Anyhow, can someone give me a hit?

with that directives it works with IE 5.5, but not with Netscape. Does anyone know a solution for NS?

One way to prevent caching of the page it add meta tag at the beginning of the html document.

I use it for a few of my programs and it works in explore and netscape.

I dont knoow, but all i did was:

<?
srand(time());
$rand = rand(1,2381237);
?>
<img src="url:to:picture?<?=$rand?>">

Which tricks the browser into thinking the picture is new everytime

thanks, It works. But I don't understand, what this realy has to do with the picture time, specialy with this parameter passing? ...
