I think it is a very good idea to download the off-line version of the manual (http://www.php.net/docs.php) to your disk and place a shortcut to it on your desktop so that you can always refer to it about 246 times a day. At least that is what I do. The best thing about PHP is that whatever you conceive, PHP is very likely to have a function that does exactly what you want. You're just left with the work of figuring out which of those Lego pieces belong together and build your application. I can't help you any more than that becasue I've never done what you want to do. I'd have to check all those printer functions myself and come up with the code for your project.
But then I'd be stealing all the fun from you, and we don't want that. :-)
