Problem with fwrite()

hi all, i have a database where i store some content. Now i want to make a txt file by by using the content of database have. Means say i have content like ..

"content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content content"

now i want to make a txt file and save it ti my hard drive by using this content. Is it possible by fwrite()? if possible please help me....

If your hard drive s either the same machines that the file is written to, or is accessible, sure. But if not, you might want to try writing the file then ftp'ing to your machine...

Sorry may be i failed to properly describe exact what i want. Actually the problem is I collect content using a textarea not i want to make this content a file like abc.txt or anything by using fwrite or by any code and then i want to give a facility to save that file to that users hard drive. is it possible?? PLease help me......

Sure, save the file to the server's disk, then either provide a link to the file so the user can download it, or redirect them to the page...
