Email Problem

Hi,

A user of my script gets a very weird error in the emails that it sends which I can't figure out. Basically it says in the to section of the email that it was sent to:

Unlisted Recipients

This users then gave me the header information to have a look which included:

To: unlisted-recipients: ;(no To-header on input)

Anyone got any idea? He's on Win98, PHP4, Apache...etc..The SMTP settings look correct. Can I set somehing like x-to: or somethng else? x-recipient?

Hi,

The code is simple mail function just:

mail($to, $subject, $msg, $headers);

Headers can included something for html email and that's all. This is the first time I've seen this happen so it's weird

Make sure you have no returns or new lines in $headers - that will bump the headers out of place and into the body of the email.

Also, are you running this on a Unix like sys?

I know that when I use mail() on my hosts RedHat machines I can't send mails properly unless I specify a Reply-to header.

Are you doing that?

This is usually ran onunix like systems but he's on Windows...

redhat here as well.

apache is running under user and group 'nobody' so if there is no reply to or from field it will come from nobody@...

i don't know if this is helpful.
