In all seriousness (assuming the other thread was not) I was under the impression that Open Source was about sharing of code and scripts and what not. I honest believe that what I was asking for was at the heart of what seperates php from asp

Yes open source is about sharing, sharing of useful information, complex sources, tips & tricks, sharing knowledge so that others can learn how to do things.

It is not about "I know how to do it but I'm too lazy to type 4 lines of code so can somebody else do it for me", and then complain if people say that request was stupid, and complain even further if they still give you half the answer even though you said they should shut up.

Dmitry's first reply was a bit over the top, but the reply you gave was equally pubescent.

And calling us idiots is not really going to help you with future problems is it?
Or let me guess, you have already found a much better forum than this one and you won't be posting here anymore?

You are absolutely right...

Open source is about sharing usefull information, code, ideas, concepts and other knowledge...

But - open source isn't about doing things for you. The reason I said that your post was stupid is because things like that can be done on your own, without bothering people here.

You took my reply wrong, so I showed you how to do it right - you go to google and do research.

Phorum is intended for real help. If somebody shows up and says, "Hey my code is not working... Where is the error.." -> we look at the code and if we know the problem we help them.

You were just being lazy, and I don't tolerate that!

When you have a real problem that you cannot solve, than let us know, and may be will be kind enough to help you.

But talking trash like that - you make yourself an unwelcomed guest!!!
