EditPlus: http://www.editplus.com (another text editor chockful of features)

In all cases, you'll be stuck up with some sort of text editor on steroids. I don't see how you can go around hand-coding with PHP.

But I think you meant syntax highlighting helps to prevent syntax errors, not spelling errors, isn't that so?
